Kent Holden is the newest member of the board of directors at Steps to HOPE. A wealth of experience, an abundance of energy, and the desire to be involved in the community makes him an exciting addition to an impressive group working to further Steps to HOPE’s mission.
Kent was born and raised in Chappaqua, N.Y. He went to Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Ind. and received his MBA from the University of Houston. He has been an entrepreneur, worked in engineering and construction, and was a certified financial planner in Vermont. He lived and worked in Bermuda for 15 years and, prior to moving to this area, lived in Decatur, Ga. where he served as executive director at The Regency House, a Holiday Retirement independent living community. He most recently retired as marketing director at Tryon Estates.
He and his wife, Linda, moved to Saluda to be near his parents a few years ago and they currently live in Rutherfordton. They have one son who recently left the Navy where he was a Seabee and now lives in southern California.
In his free time, Kent enjoys snow skiing, fishing, and hiking with his golden retriever.
