On Sunday, Dec. 4, McFarland Funeral Chapel, located at 54 McFarland Drive in Tryon, is hosting a Christmas remembrance event at its funeral home at 3 p.m. The event will be for grieving families working through the mourning process and will commemorate those loved ones recently lost.

“The holidays can be really tough to get through when you’re mourning the recent loss of a family member or close friend,” explains McFarland General Manager Brian Metcalf. “McFarland Funeral Chapel wanted to put on an event for those who are struggling through the grieving process, so they know they’re not alone.”

This is the second year in a row that the local funeral home will be hosting a holiday remembrance event to comfort those who are grieving.

Like last year’s service, the program will include inspirational and uplifting readings and music. After the event, families are invited to stay for refreshments.

In addition, each family who has recently lost someone will receive a special complimentary Christmas ornament.
