The board of directors of Roseland Community Center, Inc., announces the receipt of a seasonal grant from the Polk County Community Foundation. The proceeds will be used to support “Christmas Cheer for Seniors,” a long running program of providing a small gift and/or grocery voucher to senior citizens of Tryon’s Eastside community during the holidays.
According to Roseland president, Dr. Warren Carson, Roseland has received a seasonal grant from PCCF for several years running.
“Many of our residents are elderly and live on fixed incomes. Many live alone. Many have to make difficult choices between healthy food, required medicines, and the high cost of utilities. Anything we can do to lighten the load is a blessing, and PCCF has been a partner with us in this effort for a long, long time. We are grateful for their continued support.”
