Judith Ann Davis passed away Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016 after a valiant fight with cancer. Judy was born in Raleigh, N.C. to the late Horace Washington and Gertrude Hicks Davis. She graduated from Millbrook High School and attended East Carolina University.

Judy worked for AT&T in New York and New Jersey for a number of years before moving back to North Carolina and buying a farm in Tryon. She also worked for H & R Block in Landrum during the tax season for several years. Judy loved animals, especially cats and dogs, but her true animal love was for horses. She rode and trained horses and worked with horses needing rehabilitation and love. She also operated a pet and house sitting business.

Judy was the last member of her immediate family. She will be greatly missed by her many friends in the riding community and by her cousins Penny Antone, Thomas Antone, Becki Atwater and Marie Henry.

No service is planned at this time. Donations in her memory to the Foothills Humane Society, 989 Little Mountain Road, Columbus, NC 28722 would be greatly appreciated.
