Salisbury shuts out Polk County

Salisbury handed Polk County a 3-0 defeat Saturday evening in the first round of the state 2A boys soccer playoffs in Salisbury. The Wolverines end their final season in the 2A ranks at 11-11-1. Polk County will move down to the 1A level beginning next season. Andrew Kalogeromitros opened the scoring for the Hornets (14-4-4) around the 10-minute mark before Santiago Caballero scored shortly before halftime to give Salisbury a 2-0 lead at the break.
