Polk County, Columbus arrest two for marijuana

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office and Columbus Police Department arrested two people this week for possessing a little over 8 ounces, or about ½ lb. of marijuana.
The arrests were made on Monday, Oct. 17 when the sheriff’s office and Columbus Police Department conducted a joint investigation of two homes in Columbus, according to sheriff’s office reports.
Andres Cao Jr. and Justice Cao, both of 65 Hammet St., Columbus were arrested and charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, felony possession of marijuana and conspiracy to deliver marijuana, according to the sheriff’s office.
Investigators recovered 230 grams of marijuana after conducting surveillance on the residence and later executing a search warrant there.
Both were given $18,000 secured bonds and had their first appearances in court on Oct. 19.
