Worth Frady

Worth Frady, 95, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at St. Joseph Hospital.

Mr. Frady was a native of Rutherford County, N.C. and the son of George Madison Frady and Mamie Marlow Frady.
Worth graduated from Rutherford-Spindale High School and Appalachian State University with a bachelor and masters degree in science and education. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served in WWII and was a member of Trinity of Fairview Baptist Church.
He taught science at Mill Spring High School in Polk County and Clyde A. Erwin High School in Asheville.
He is survived by his wife, Elfreta McBrayer Frady; two nephews, Darrell Crotts and wife, Sue of Virginia and Douglas Crotts and wife, Beverly of Virginia and a niece, Carolyn Lammons and husband, Jim of Florida.
A funeral service was held at 2 p.m., Monday, October 3, 2016 in the Chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian with Pastor Stacey Harris officiating. Interment followed at Mountain Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Rutherfordton.
The family received friends from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home on Monday prior to the service.
