A great time was had by all at the annual Kiwanis Pancake Supper on Sept. 8 at Tryon Elementary School. Polk County Sheriff Donald Hill, Polk Schools Superintendent Aaron Greene and Tryon Chief of Police Jeff Arrowood served up hotcakes, bacon and sausage to patrons looking to have breakfast for dinner. All proceeds from the event benefit the Kiwanis Scholarship fund, awarded to a graduating Polk County High School senior. (photo submitted by Kevin Powell)
