“The early bird gets the worm” as they say, and so customers line the sidewalk in anticipation of the re-opening of Second Chance Thrift Store in Columbus on Tuesday, Sept. 6.
Twice annually, the store closes for season change and always re-opens to a very excited crowd. The store depends on community donations, local commerce, and volunteerism to help support Steps to HOPE, Polk County’s domestic violence and sexual assault prevention and treatment center.
For information on donating, shopping, volunteering, or scheduling furniture pick-ups please call the store 828-894-2373.
