Stone Soup restaurant owner Suzanne Strickland is seeking funding for the dog park she hopes to build on her property. Strickland went before city council to discuss the idea at this month’s work session meeting, but city council decided to table the discussion after hearing concerns from an attorney present at the meeting. Fundraisers for the park are scheduled to begin at Stone Soup in October. A 10-foot buffer and a 6-foot-tall privacy fence will be created separating Strickland from a residential area. Picnic tables and signs outlining guidelines for the park are also needed.
