Andy Millard renews call for incumbent Patrick McHenry to debate

Andy Millard, the Democratic nominee for North Carolina’s 10th Congressional District, is renewing his request to debate the incumbent Republican nominee Patrick McHenry. Millard would like to debate McHenry in each of the District’s seven counties: Gaston, Cleveland, Lincoln, Catawba, Rutherford, Buncombe and Polk.

Andy Millard—a financial planner, a former school teacher and principal—went unopposed in the June 7 primary. During the campaign, Millard has been meeting with voters in each of the seven counties to find out what issues are most important to them. Millard wants the people in NC’s 10th to hear directly from both candidates.

“This election is about choosing the people’s closest representative in Congress,” said Millard. “It’s a big district, and it’s not too much to ask the candidates to appear side-by-side in each county so voters can look them in the eye.”
