Polk arrests Mt. Pleasant, S.C. man for possessing Ecstasy

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office recently made an arrest following a
traffic stop where officers found the illegal drug MDMA, commonly known as Ecstasy.
Officers also found marijuana and paraphernalia as well as a concealed weapon, according to sheriff’s office reports.
Jeffrey Scott Roland, of 714 Vision Rd., Mt. Pleasant, S.C. was arrested and charged with simple possession of schedule VI controlled substance, possession of marijuana paraphernalia, maintaining a vehicle for the sale and delivery of a controlled substance, possession of paraphernalia, possession of a concealed weapon and possession with the intent to manufacture, sell or deliver MDMA, according to the sheriff’s office.
The arrest was made after the Polk County PACE Team conducted a traffic stop on July 14 in the Saluda area. Officers searched the vehicle and discovered the MDMA, which was packaged for sale and distribution, according to sheriff reports.
Roland was released from the Polk County Jail after posting a $10,000 secured bond.
