It is with great sadness that the family of Beverly (Bev) Jane Rinck announces her peaceful passing on Saturday, July 16, 2016 in Tryon, N.C.

She was born on June 7, 1922 in Rock Island, Ill., the only child of Irene and Percy Eklund. Bev graduated from Augustana College in Illinois with a music education degree. She was involved in the music world for many years as a music teacher, church choral director, organist and concert pianist. She and her beloved husband, Bill, were high school and college sweethearts and were married for 62 years. Bill passed away in 2006. They were members of the Tryon Presbyterian Church.

Bev was a resident of Tryon Estates since 1994 and participated in many of their community activities. She was a founding member of the Laurel Lake Music Club and the Alpha Volunteer Society (AVS) at Tryon Estates. She greatly enjoyed her 36 years living overseas as Bill’s business career took the family to England, Switzerland, South Africa, Brazil and Australia.
