Columbus Fire Department report for May

During the month of May 2016, the Columbus Fire Department responded to 111 calls.

There were 56 medical calls, three fire alarms, one structure fire, one brush fire, four vehicle fires, five motor vehicle accidents with injuries, six motor vehicle accidents without injuries, two no incident calls, six trees down, three stranded motorists, five calls for public service, five fire alarms in Tryon’s district, one structure fire in Tryon’s district, one brush fire in Tryon’s district, one fuel spill/hazmat in Tryon’s district, one landing zone in Tryon’s district, one call for public service in Tryon’s district, one rescue call in Saluda’s district, two vehicle fires in Saluda’s district, one no incident found in Saluda’s district, one medical call in Green Creek’s district, one fire alarm in Green Creek’s district, one rescue call in Green Creek’s district, one fire alarm in Mill Spring’s district and one structure fire in Mill Spring’s district.

There were a total of 228 firefighter hours and 214 hours of training for the month.
