Nathan Wolfe from Tryon, a 2013 Polk County High School graduate, is playing in the Special Needs Baseball League this spring in Hendersonville. Nathan plays for Valley Hill Fire Department sponsored team.
Games are played on Saturday mornings at Jackson Park. Each game goes three innings and every player bats at each inning. No player strikes out or walks, they keep swinging until they hit the ball and “run like the wind.” Each player gets the opportunity to round bases and touch home plate regardless of ability and physical status.
