During the month of May 2016, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office responded to 740 calls for service.

There were 10 felony arrests, 29 misdemeanor arrests, 15 citations issued, 93 civil papers served and 16 criminal papers served.

Officers completed 1,047 house checks, 2,287 business checks, 1,227 church checks, assisted the public nine times and patrolled 24,832 miles.

The Polk County Jail booked a total of 75 inmates, including 54 males and 21 females.
