The weekly farmers market in Tryon has a new location at Harmon Field and began last week.
The market will run in its new location every Wednesday from 9 a.m. to noon, now through Nov. 16.
Market organizers asked the Town of Tryon for a new location earlier this year after having several locations in the downtown area over the past several years, including the parking lot at the Shops of Tryon, McCown Street and last year at the town’s parking lot on Palmer Street.
The farmers market at Harmon Field opened last Wednesday with 12 vendors.
Other farmers markets in Polk County are held at the Polk County Courthouse in Columbus on Saturdays and at the City of Saluda’s bus parking lot on Fridays.
Landrum also has a farmers market near the fire department on Saturday mornings.
