March Landrum Police Department report

The following report covers the month of March as presented by the Landrum Police Department.

The Landrum Police Department received a total of 32 traffic citations and four arrests: one citation for disregarding a stop sign, five for DUS, one for an expired tag, one for failure to register a vehicle, one for an improper tag, one for operating an uninsured vehicle, one for passing a stopped school bus and 21 speeding citations. Three arrests were made for DUS and one arrest was made for operating an uninsured vehicle.

 

CRIMINAL

 

A total of three criminal arrests were made for one shoplifting, one simple possession of marijuana, and one for trespass after notice.

 

CRIMINAL INVESTIGATIONS

 

A total of 13 criminal investigations were conducted during the month: two for burglary/breaking and entering, one for forcible fondling, one for larceny of tag, one for motor vehicle theft, one for runaway and two for shoplifting.

 

ADDITIONAL DEPARTMENT ACTIVITIES

 

Seven accident reports, two funeral escorts and 50 warning citations were issued.

 

WARRANT SERVICE

 

Two bench warrants and no arrest warrants were served.
