Andy Millard’s campaign announced on Tuesday it has received the endorsement of Patsy Keever, the chairwoman of the North Carolina Democratic Party. In her endorsement letter, Keever stated “With you being the nominee for the party, the 10th will be one of the few Districts in the country that has the potential to shift from Red to Blue.”

Patsy Keever would go on to say, “your decades of experience in helping to create jobs in our great state through your own small business, along with your support for women’s rights, education, the environment, equality, a higher minimum wage, among other issues, makes you an excellent candidate to take on Congressman McHenry in the 2016 election cycle.”

This endorsement comes days after the campaign announced their best fundraising month and quarter ever, posting $52,533 in contributions in the first three months of 2016.

Regarding the endorsement, Andy Millard said, “I am honored to have received Patsy’s endorsement for my campaign. The party is unified behind my campaign and I couldn’t be more grateful. This election is vital for our district and with the momentum we have, it is abundantly clear that the 10th District is ready for vision, leadership and a spirit of service that has been lacking for a very long time.”

Andy Millard is the Democratic nominee for Congress in North Carolina’s 10th Congressional District. Millard is a financial planner, former school teacher and principal and active member of numerous community organizations.
