Mr. Robert Ramsey, 87, of Sunshine, died Saturday, April 2, 2016 at the Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville.

He was the widower of Eunice G. Ramsey and son of the late Bert and Lela Mae Campbell Ramsey. Robert served as a Deacon at Mt. Harmony Baptist Church and was the former owner of Robert’s Chainsaws in Ruth.

He is survived by two sons, Kenneth Ramsey and his wife Vickie, of Newton, and Alvin Ramsey and his wife Lisa, of Sunshine; a grandson, Tyler Ramsey; and a sister, Annie Mae Black of Shelby.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at Mt. Harmony Baptist Church. The Rev. Eugene Passmore and Rev. Paul White, Jr. will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The visitation will be from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. Monday at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral and Cremation Service, and at other times the family will be at the residence.
