Martha Frederick, originally from Duluth, Minn., turned 100 on Sunday, March 20 with a big bash in the party room at White Oak of Tryon Apartments. About 100 people were in attendance, including some family members who came from as far away as California, and many local friends. They threw her a hoedown with live country and western music, complete with decorations of hay bales, balloons and western hats. The menu featured barbecue and all the trimmings. She had a blast.
