O.P. Earle Elementary School was filled with eager students and parents ready to take part in PTO’s first annual “Books ‘n Biscuits” on March 18. All “book worms” and “chicken lovers” gathered into O.P.E. with their kids to enjoy a leisurely morning eating chicken biscuits and hunting books at the seasonal book fair.

Mrs. Heather Chestnut, media specialist at O.P. Earle, held the book fair in the school media center.

What was in it for the non-readers? Well, the book fair isn’t just filed with bestselling novels. The shelves are stacked with activity books, bookmarks, pencil cases, posters, and much, much more.

Also, who doesn’t love a biscuit? Whether you were staying for the book fair or on the go, you were always guaranteed a tasty biscuit! From the looks of the crowd, no book or chicken lover left unsatisfied!
