Polk County primary election polls open today

Polk County voters can cast ballots today for the primary election at seven polling locations.
Early voting ended Saturday at 1 p.m., with a total of 2,526 votes cast early.
Republican ballots were requested the most at 1,417, while Democratic ballots totaled 1,109, according to the Polk County Board of Elections office. Total registered voters in Polk County following registration being allowed during early voting was not known as of press time.
Residents must already be registered in order to vote today on Election Day.
Voters must vote today at their polling location with identification ready. Polling places will be open from 6:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 15.

Tryon 123 – Harmon Field Log Cabin
Saluda 4 – Saluda Fire Department
Cooper Gap 5 – Sunnyview Elementary
White Oak 6 – Mill Spring Fire Department
Columbus 7- Polk High School
Columbus 8- Isothermal Community College
Green Creek 9 – Green Creek Fire Department
