Polk County District Court results for Feb. 24 & 29

In Polk County District Court on Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2016, with Judge Athena F. Brooks presiding, 139 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Franklin J. Abernathy was convicted of misdemeanor probation violation. Abernathy’s probation was terminated.

Joshua Frank Abernathy was convicted of misdemeanor probation violation. Abernathy’s probation was terminated.

Kevin Michael Allison was convicted of breaking and or entering and larceny after break/enter. Allison was sentenced to two years supervised probation and court costs.

Douglas J. Alverson was convicted of no operator’s license. Alverson was fined $50 and court costs.

Fred Alfred Bradley Jr. was convicted of possession of deer taken in closed season and hunt from motor vehicle. Bradley was fined $200 and court costs.

Justin Tyson Britt was convicted of possession of marijuana paraphernalia. Britt was fined $25 and court costs.

Sarah Rose Brooks was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Brooks was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, one day in jail, a $100 fine and court costs.

Juana Rivera De was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. De was fined $40 and court costs.

Daniel Badger Franklin was convicted of possession of open container/consumption of alcohol in passenger area. Franklin was to pay court costs.

Clarence N. Gilbert was convicted of use false and fraudulent information. Gilbert was fined $100 and court costs.

Daniel Joshua Greer was convicted of level two driving while impaired and simple possession of schedule IV controlled substance. Greer was sentenced to one year supervised probation, 10 days in jail with credit for time served, a $300 fine and court costs.

Rodney Alan Hendrix was convicted of misdemeanor flee/elude arrest with motor vehicle, level three driving while impaired and driving while license revoked. Hendrix was sentenced to 10 days in jail with credit for time served for flee/elude arrest and one year supervised probation, three days in jail, a $200 fine and court costs for driving while impaired and driving while license revoked.

Darrian Chad Jackson was convicted of profane language on highway. Jackson was to pay court costs.

Steven A. Landrum Jr. was convicted of level four driving while impaired. Landrum was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 48 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.

William C. Lawson was convicted of violation of court order. Lawson was sentenced to one day in jail.

Ethan Gilliam Lee was convicted of possession of marijuana greater than ½ ounce to one and ½ ounce. Lee was fined $25 and court costs.

Callie Elizabeth Nef was convicted of rear seat belt violation. Nef was fined $25.

Rita Michelle Plumley was convicted of unsealed wine/liquor in passenger area. Plumley was to pay court costs.

William Daniel Rhodes was convicted of driving while license revoked and level five driving while impaired. Rhodes was sentenced to one day in jail and court costs for driving while license revoked and one year unsupervised probation, one day in jail, a $100 fine and court costs for driving while impaired.

John C. Schoolcraft was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Schoolcraft was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.

Alfred Sellers III was convicted of larceny after break/enter. Sellers was sentenced to 18 months supervised probation and court costs.

Danny Lee Shuping was convicted of simple possession of schedule VI controlled substance. Shuping was fined $25 and court costs.

Eric Wayne Snuffer was convicted of possession of schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Snuffer was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.

 

In Polk County District Court on Monday, Feb. 29, 2016, with Judge Mack Brittain presiding, 66 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Carl Edward Goolsby was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. Goolsby was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $50 fine and court costs.

Tucker Jeffrey Nelon was convicted of speeding 79 mph in a 65 mph zone. Nelon was fined $100 and court costs.

Lesley Ann Treadway was convicted of possession of open container/consumption of alcohol in passenger area. Treadway was to pay court costs.

Jordan Thomas Varnon was convicted of reckless driving to endanger. Varnon was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.

Trenten Tyler Waggoner was convicted of speeding 79 mph in a 65 mph zone. Waggoner was fined $50 and court costs.

Kristal Dawn Wilson was convicted of reckless driving to endanger. Wilson was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $150 fine and court costs.
