Roy McNeely

Roy McNeely, 87, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2016 at Tryon Estates in Columbus, N.C.

Born in Jeffrey, W.Va, he retired from the Army after 21 years of service. He proudly served two tours in Germany, one in Korea, and one in Okinawa. After retiring from service, he was employed by Westinghouse Electric in Lester, Pa. for 12 years. He then went on to work for Acts Retirement Life Communities in Lima, Pa. for 12 years. After his retirement, Roy and his wife Beverly, of 65 years, moved to Tryon Estates in Columbus, N.C. in 1997.

Mr. McNeely is survived by his wife Beverly and son Steven, and his family of Wilmington, Del. He was preceded in death by his daughter Lisa, four brothers, and five sisters.

Mr. McNeely enjoyed baseball, football, playing cards, and most of all playing shuffleboard.

Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Aston, Pa.
