Polk County Community Foundation has also awarded TDDA an additional grant for operational support in order to continue partnerships with TDDA, downtown business and property owners, the Town of Tryon, and organizations in the region to improve the community and economic environment of downtown Tryon. This support has allowed TDDA to hire its first executive director and open an office at 231B N. Trade St. TDDA is currently reviving its Façade Grant Program, instituting cooperative advertising and merchant resources, and developing resources for business recruitment.
