Judith Ann Cantrell Lynch

Judy Lynch, 69, of Spartanburg, S.C. passed away peacefully Friday, Oct. 30, 2015 after a lengthy illness.  Born July 10, 1946 in Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of R.L. and Clara Gilbert Cantrell. She grew up on the family peach farm in the Mountain View community near Chesnee, S.C. She was a graduate of Boiling Springs High School and Cecils Business College. Judy spent her working years as an executive secretary for Milliken Corporation, Bank of Toccoa (Toccoa, Ga.), Tietex International and Peyer Corporation.

Mrs. Lynch is survived by her husband of 50 years, William Laxton Lynch, Jr., daughter Tracie Lynch Duncan and her husband Michael (of Moore, S.C.) and one granddaughter Halie McKinna Lynch Duncan. She is also survived by one brother Carey Cantrell (Shirley) and one sister Virginia Cantrell Williams (Ray). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, Nov. 2, 2015 at Stribling Funeral Home, Duncan, S.C. A service to celebrate Mrs. Lynch’s life followed in the Funeral Home chapel. Entombment was at Good Shepard Memorial Garden Mausoleum in Boiling Springs, S.C. Services were officiated by Doctor D. J. Horton.
