James Paul Gilmore, Jr.

James P. Gilmore, Jr. 58, of Miami, Fla. passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2015 at his home.
Born in Camden, N.J., he was son of Constance Dinielli Gilmore of Columbus and the late James Paul Gilmore, Sr. After James graduated from the University of Colorado with honors he served as a missionary in Guatemala and worked for the embassy overseas as well. When he returned to the United States he worked for United Health Care as a contractor writing and editing proposals. James also took pride and loved teaching languages at Miami Dade College. He was a kind and caring gentleman who never met a stranger.
In addition to his mother Constance, James is survived by his brother Daniel and his wife Elizabeth of Columbus, and his sister Ellen of Sicklerville, N.J. He is also survived by extended family and many close friends.
A celebration of his life was held at McFarland’s Funeral Chapel and the burial took place at Polk Memorial Garden.
