In a swearing in ceremony last Friday afternoon, Kelly Condrey, 20, and Brandon Bumgarner, 27, became the newest members of the Columbus Police Department’s nine-member force. Hailing from Rutherford County, both are May graduates of Isothermal Community College’s BLET program. Condrey was accompanied by his wife and son. Bumgarner was joined by his wife. Chief Beddingfield told assembled family members that they are “going into this adventure as much as they [new officers] are,” and added that he is very glad to have the both of them on the force.
