Tryon Fine Arts Center presents Annie Moses Band’s American Rhapsody

Annie Moses Band, with Joshua Carswell, presents American Rhapsody, a panoramic exploration of America and her music on Saturday, Oct. 3, 8 p.m. at Tryon Fine Arts Center, 34 Melrose Avenue.
Featuring favorites from Aaron Copland, George Gershwin, and other American originals, American Rhapsody fuses Appalachian bluegrass, Irish fiddle, beloved classical themes, and roots music to create a beautiful and transporting concert experience.
With accolades that include more than 1,200 hours on PBS and recent debuts at Carnegie Hall and the Grand Ole Opry, the Annie Moses Band is bringing a distinctive style to American music. Songs will include Rhapsody in Bluegrass, Summertime, Hard Times Come Again No More, Shenandoah and Orange Blossom Special.
Annie Moses Band, sponsored by Main Street Financial and the Kirby Innovative Fund, is the first of five performances scheduled for TFAC’s 2015–16 season.
