Can Commissioner Holbert be unbiased?

To the editor:
I would like to respond to Mr. Holbert’s “Animal Cruelty Board Must Remain Unbiased” posting on polkncgop.com. Excerpts were printed in the Tryon Daily Bulletin letter to the editor by James Hrynyshyn on Sept. 11, 2015.
Mr. Holbert, there is an old saying “ignorance is bliss,” but you added a new dimension, ignorance is criminal. Instead of speaking to the Polk County Sheriff’s Department to learn the procedures used by the Animal Cruelty Board, you chose to drag two honorable women through the mud.
May I suggest that when you look in the mirror each morning, you ask yourself if you can perform your duties as a county commissioner in an unbiased manner, treating all citizens of Polk County fairly? We have our doubts. You should resign your position.
