Come out for the first Friends of Agriculture Breakfast of the fall season this Wednesday, Sept. 16 from 7-8 a.m. at the 4-H Building in Columbus on Locust Street. The Friends of Agriculture Breakfasts are made possible by the Polk County Farm Bureau, and the contribution of our gathering place by the 4-H Foundation.
The Friends of Agriculture Breakfasts are held every third Wednesday of the month from 7-8 a.m. and feature a speaker on areas of interest to our community of farmers and food enthusiasts. This month, in lieu of a speaker, Dawn Jordan and Patrick McLendon will discuss updates and introduce some new faces.
Donations of canned goods for Thermal Belt Outreach to benefit our community members in need will be accepted at this event.
