Comment forms do matter

Letter to constituents:
I am working with other legislators and several groups of concerned citizens to stop the proposed construction of high voltage power lines through our area.
I need your help. There is a Duke Project comment form that each of you can fill out to voice or express your opposition of these power lines and the devastating effect this construction will have on your property values, your homes and our community.
These comment forms really do matter to the regulators that have the ultimate approval authority. You can find this form at www.foothillspreservationalliance.org. If you do not have access to a computer or the Internet, you can pick one of these forms up at one of the businesses listed below:
Landrum: WWE Real Estate, Dale James Salon, The Hay Rack, Hospice Thrift Barn, Stone Soup and The Hare & Hound.
Columbus: Larry Stott’s Garage and The Hay Rack
Tryon: Nana’s Restaurant and TJ’s Café
Please fill out one of these comment forms and return it to Duke Energy before Aug. 31 to voice your opposition to Duke’s proposed power line construction.
I thank you for your assistance.
