Jaye Lineberger Bux, age 72, died peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 in Wilmington, N.C. A memorial service was held in Wilmington on August 6.

Jaye was born in Wilmington on April 18, 1943. She later moved to Tryon, N.C. where she lived throughout her high school and college years.

Jaye attended Tryon High School, where she was yearbook editor, homecoming queen and school paper editor. She went on to college at St. Mary’s Junior College, and later Winthrop College. Her working career included management positions with Sears, Rich’s and the TVA.

Jaye was preceded in death by her husband Donald Alton Bux, and her parents, James and Jackie Lineberger of Tryon. She is survived by her brother John Lineberger and his wife Carol from Marietta, Ga.; two nephews, Matthew Clay Lineberger, his wife Patricia, their son Samuel, and John Murphy Lineberger, his wife Rebecca, and their children Lauren and Beth, all from Atlanta.
