John M. Barton, Sr. 79, of Gowensville died July 15.  He was the husband of Kathleen Staggs Barton for 56 years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, John M. Barton, Jr. “Johnny” (Elaine) and Kavin R. Barton (Stephanie); four grandchildren, Autumn Barton, Hannah Barton, Grant Barton and LukeBarton; a brother, Jimmy Barton and a sister, Millie Cansler. Services were held July 18.
