Georgia Screven Pack, 98, passed away on June 5, 2015 in her home.
Born in 1916 in Polk County, N.C., she was the daughter of the late James and Frances Cleveland Screven. She was the wife of the late Arthur Pack who passed away in 1989. Being raised on the Screven Plantation, she was known as a great homemaker, and she enjoyed tending to the family farm. Georgia was a supporter of all Alzheimer’s charities. She loved her animals, especially her cats and dogs. She was a member of Tryon First Baptist Church.
Surviving are: a son, Phillip Pack (Kathy) of Tryon, N.C.; a daughter, Frances McCain (Jimmy) of Tryon, N.C.; six grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Mickey Pack, a daughter, “Jennie” Pack Bradshaw, and a grandchild, Kim Pack.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, June 8, 2015 in Polk Memorial Gardens with Dr. Jeff Harris officiating.
