Mr. Norman Morse Greig, 81 peacefully passed Monday March 16, 2015 at The Laurels of Hendersonville.

Mr. Greig was born and raised in Chimney Rock, N.C. and was the son of the late Norman and Elizabeth Greig. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Alice.

After serving with the Army in Germany, Mr. Greig returned to Polk County and was employed with C.P. Clare in Fairview, N.C. until his retirement.

Surviving are one sister Margot Greig of Reston, Va. and two nephews Greg Balot of Polk City, Fla. and Randy Balot of Swannanoa, N.C.

No formal services will be held at this time. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Foothills Humane Society, Inc., 989 Little Mountain Rd., Columbus, NC 28722.
