Polk County District Court results for March 11

In Polk County District Court on Wednesday, March 11, 2015, with Judge Peter Knight presiding, 152 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.
The following persons were convicted of a crime:
Homero Alvarez was convicted of failure to appear on misdemeanor. Alvarez was fined $50 and court costs.
Amanda Jean Austin was convicted of four counts of misdemeanor child abuse. Austin was sentenced to 12 months supervised probation and court costs.
Brandi Lynn Bumgardner was convicted of simple possession of schedule II controlled substance. Bumgardner was sentenced to 24 hours of community service, and court costs.
Jassmen Jaquin Counts was convicted of level two driving while impaired. Counts was sentenced to seven days in jail, 18 months supervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.
Travis Thomas Faulkner was convicted of driving while license revoked-impaired revocation. Faulkner was sentenced to seven days in jail and court costs.
Frederick Alan Hardin was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. Hardin was fined $50 and court costs.
Lynnelle Parke Hardin was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Hardin was fined $97 and court costs.
Thomas Kyle Henderson was convicted of possession of marijuana paraphernalia. Henderson was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation and court costs.
Maria D. Huizarparada was convicted of speeding 84 mph in a 70 mph zone. Huizarparada was fined $75 and court costs.
Nathan Jaskowiak was convicted of four counts of misdemeanor child abuse. Jaskowiak was sentenced to 12 months supervised probation and court costs.
Michael Talma Mayfield was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Mayfield was fined $30 and court costs.
Cleveland M. McNeill was convicted of failure to stop at a stop sign/flashing red light. McNeill was fined $30 and court costs.
Emma Leigh Newton was convicted of impaired equipment. Newton was fined $40 and court costs.
Apolinar Veri Ramirez was convicted of simple possession of schedule VI controlled substance, possession of marijuana paraphernalia and simple possession of schedule II controlled substance. Ramirez was sentenced to 50 days in jail with credit for time served and court costs.
April Dawn Roberts was convicted of misdemeanor larceny. Roberts was fined $50 and court costs.
William Trent Saltz was convicted of driving while license revoked violation-impaired revocation. Saltz was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.
Nicholas Michael Vollmer was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Vollmer was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.
Timothy Edward Watkins was convicted of misdemeanor probation violation. Watkins was sentenced to 60 days in jail.
