Carolyn Jeanette Moore

Carolyn Jeanette Moore made her transition on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at the Charles George V.A. Medical Center.
She was a native of Polk County and a daughter of Dorothy Lucille Whiteside Fant and George Fant.
Carolyn was a graduate of Tryon High School. She joined the U.S. Army in 1978 and served as a military police officer. Carolyn later joined the Landrum, S.C. Police Department. Carolyn worked for Mohawk Industries and Polk Vocational for several years.
Growing up, she was a member of Garrison Chapel Baptist Church and sang with the junior choir. Carolyn was a member of Landrum Springs Baptist Church.
She enjoyed playing Gin Rummy with her sons and taking long walks.
Those left to cherish her memories include; sons, Rashaad Moore and Brandon Moore (Julie Martinez); granddaughter, Jazzelle Martinez; former husband, Reggie Moore; mother, Dorothy Lucille Fant (George); sisters, Tina Fant, Erica Fant Lynch (Roy) Tiffany Simpson (fiancé Kelvin Ellis) and Brandy Simpson-Woods (Dee); father, Jimmy Simpson; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Landrum Springs Baptist Church, Landrum S.C. with Rev. Pierre Salmon officiating. Family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to service. Acknowledgements can be received at rayandallenfuneralservice.com.
