Mabel Marie Pearson, 97, of Columbus, N.C. passed away Sunday, Feb. 15, 2015 in Tryon Estates, Columbus, N.C.

Born in Wingate, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Reece Michael Hagler and Martha Jane Stroud Hagler and widow of Archie Pearson who died in 2011.  She and her husband retired to Tryon in 1970 and moved to Tryon Estates in 2001.  She was a member of the Tryon Country Club and Tryon First Baptist Church.

Surviving are one son, Michael Pearson and daughter-in-law, Julia of Barrington, R.I.; one granddaughter, Catherine Reece Pearson of Washington, D.C.

A private service will be held in Sharon Memorial Park, Charlotte, N.C.
