Polk County District Court results for Nov. 26

In Polk County District Court on Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2014, with Judge Emily G. Cowan presiding, 106 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Jonathan Loric Brown was convicted of impaired equipment. Brown was fined $40 and court costs.

Dylan Reid Dietz was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. Dietz was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $30 fine and court costs.

Nannette Miller Johnson was convicted of reckless driving-wanton disregard and level five driving while impaired. Johnson was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs for reckless driving and one year unsupervised probation, one day in jail, a $100 fine and court costs for driving while impaired.

Rachel Elizabeth Joseph was convicted of impaired equipment. Joseph was fined $40 and court costs.

Kendra Michelle McCombs was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce, possession of drug paraphernalia and simple possession of schedule II controlled substance. McCombs was sentenced to 120 days at the N.C. Department of Corrections with credit for 35 days.

Thorn Bun Sal was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Sal was to pay court costs.

Billy Jack Stephenson was convicted of impaired equipment. Stephenson was fined $50 and court costs.

Jerry Lewis Toney was convicted of injury to personal property. Toney was sentenced to four days in jail with credit for time served.
