Carolina Camera Club to meet Dec. 9

At the Dec. 9 meeting of the Carolina Camera Club, club member Vince Verrecchio will be presenting Mindsight: The 6 C’s of a Photographer’s Reality, which is designed to stimulate photographer’s understanding of why they shoot. The meeting will begin with a presentation of three case studies of the six C’s, which are content, composition, color, contrast, cropping, and concept. Club members will then present two to three of their all-time favorites at the meeting as a basis for a discussion of these ideas.
Vince Verrecchio started his professional career in 1969 as an art director/commercial photographer. During the following decades as an ad agency copywriter, art director, creative director, and eventually owner, a camera was always a part of his life for profit and/or pleasure.
He said, “Mindsight refers to the photographer’s relative reality; the talent to see and translate a moment of light, texture, pattern, and emotion into a lasting vision that most others would have overlooked.”
The Carolina Camera Club meets the second Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m., at the Tryon Fine Arts Center’s Mahler Room. Photographers of all ages and levels of interest are welcome to attend.
