There were approximately 20 entries in the O.P. Earle Elementary School Pumpkin Decorating Contest. Judging took place on Oct. 27 by a panel of judges. The pumpkin and/or gourd needed to be turned into a book character or object from a children’s book. Entries with the most votes in each category were declared the winner. Best of Show, Most Creative and Best Use of the Pumpkin/Gourd.

Winners are as follows:

Best Of Show: Halen Riley Dawson Hutchins and family with the Amazing Apple Book

Best Use of Pumpkin: Millie Hatchette and family with Olivia

Most Creative: The Vest family (Brailey, Harley and Avery) with My Lucky Day

Best of Show Honorable Mention: Eli Davis and family with Oscar
