Fall Fest at the Landrum Library continues on Thursday, Sept. 11 at 7 p.m., with The Gamblers an upbeat, nostalgic dance band that indulges in an eclectic exploration of early American jazz and roots music styles will have you dancing on the lawn.

The Gamblers entertain with a collection of musical sounds from artists such as bluesmen Clarence Williams, Robert Johnson and Charley Patton to under-the-radar jazz hipsters like Freddy Taylor and his Swing Men and the Washboard Rhythm Kings.

Bandleader Michael Gamble’s 10+ years of work in every aspect of the global swing dance community informs the band’s repertoire and taste. The Gamblers embody the joy and infectious energy of early-twentieth century American Blues and Jazz.
