Judith Wilson Blackwell

Judith “Judy” Wilson Blackwell, 70, of Mill Spring, N.C. passed away Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2014 in Spartanburg Hospital for Restorative Care.
Born in Asheville, N.C. she was the daughter of the late Dwight and Sarah Burruss Wilson. She was the widow of Thomas C. Blackwell who passed away in 2000.
Judy was an auditor for 23 years with Mr. Zip and B-Line convenience stores before her retirement in 1998. She was a member of Mill Spring First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son, Thomas Blackwell (Angela) of Woodruff, S.C.; two daughters, Beth Ruble (Joe) of Hornbeak, Tenn. and Kimberly Raines (Andrew) of Mill Spring, N.C.; a sister, Sarah West of Columbus, N.C.; as well as special friends Mack Wize, and Rebecca Foster. Also surviving are seven grandchildren: Chase Blackwell, Brooke, Virginia and Candace Cole, and Charles Ruble and Justin and Jonathan Raines; and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 22, 2014 in the Mill Spring First Baptist Church, Mill Spring, N.C. with Rev. David Bame officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 7 – 8:30 p.m. Thursday evening in the McFarland Funeral Chapel, Tryon, N.C.
