Harpist and storyteller Brittany Lee will perform Saturday, July 19, at Lanier Library’s traditional summer program for youngsters.
Lee’s program combines music, songs and stories to engage and entertain children. A harpist for 19 years, as well as an experienced children’s therapist, Lee, dressed in a princess costume, recounts classic fairy tales and Disney stories and plays familiar tunes. She also teaches her young audience about the harp as an instrument and lets them interact with it.
The program begins at 2 p.m. in the library, and there is no admission charge. Children of all ages are welcome. The program is open to members and non-members alike, and library members are encouraged to bring along friends to introduce them to the historic library and its up-to-date and comprehensive collection.
Lanier Library’s annual children’s programs are made possible by a grant from the Kirby Fund of the Polk County Community Foundation.
