Mary Myers was inducted into the Second Wind Hall of Fame on June 26, 2014 at the annual meeting of the Tryon Little Theater. Meyers and her husband, the late Robert Linder, moved to Tryon from New Jersey six years ago. Meyers’s professional life was spent at the Opera that included 25 years at the Metropolitan. Even though Meyers now has Parkinson’s, that has not slowed her down.
She has volunteered her expertise to the Foothills Music Club, the Carolina Community Chorus and the Tryon Little Theater. Recently, Meyers organized a variety show “Mary Myers and Friends” to benefit the Parkinson support group of the Upstate. Meyers has been seen in Little Theater productions of “Return to Mitford, “A Little Night Music”, and most recently “Fiddler on the Roof.”
In her spare time she enjoys playing bridge and having friends over for a sip and musical entertainment especially singing.
