For the third year in a row, White Oak of Tryon and White Oak Village Apartments staff members are volunteering at the Blue Ridge BBQ and Music Festival, Friday, June 13 and Saturday, June 14 as transport drivers.
There are two six-seat golf carts running each day from 9:30 a.m.- 9 p.m. The drivers will pick up passengers in the handicapped parking lot and take them to the ticket booth at the entrance to the craft area and return them to their specific parking area when they are ready to leave the festival.
White Oak Village Apartments Director, Suzanne Keim said, “We really enjoy providing this service at the BBQ Festival and because the ride takes a few minutes we get to meet some really wonderful people. We are always surprised at the distance some people travel to attend this event and many of them come back every year.”
