Dominic Peter Iaffaldano, born May 23, 1926 in Chicago, Ill., died June 2, 2014 in Atlanta.
He graduated top of his class at Crane Tech High School May 1944. He served in the U.S. Army September 1944 through June 1946. He graduated from Loyola University of Chicago in May 1950.
He retired from Hillshire Farms in 1988.
He played bridge almost daily and shot three hole-in-ones.
He married Rosemary DiJulio June 11, 1949.
He is survived by his wife and loving companion of 65 years, Rosemary Iaffaldano and his five children, Marty, Paul, Jim, John and Diane Buyse and his ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Don & Rosemary lived in Columbus from 1992 until 2012.
Services will be held 2 p.m., June 11, 2014 at Roswell First Baptist Church, 710 Mimosa Blvd, Roswell, GA, 30075.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers a donation to the American Cancer Society.
