The Green River Brew Depot will host a “Low Country Boil” event Saturday May 24 from 2 – 9 p.m. to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project. Admission is by ticket only, which includes a food and one beverage.
“It’s a great opportunity for good food, live entertainment and a chance to honor and assist our veterans,” said Ken Smith, owner of Green River Brew Depot, located at 26 Church Street just off Main Street in Historic Saluda.
“We’re delighted with the many businesses and Saluda area residents who are contributing to this event,” said Mike Ryan, owner of Saluda by the Sea and one of the organizers of the project.
“There will be a silent auction with a variety area arts, crafts, gifts and services, not to mention good food and music by the Handlebar Jam Band.
“We’re excited about this event and the participation from around Henderson and Polk Counties, Asheville, and South Carolina,” said Cindy West, brew depot manager and one of the event’s organizers. “We love our veterans, and this event will allow us to have a lot of fun while contributing to such a wonderful cause.”
Tickets are available at the brew depot at 26 Church St., just off Main St. behind the Saluda City Hall. For more information contact West at 828-699-6679 or Ryan at 828-606-6464.
